Knowledge & Wisdom Are Self Empowerment Success Keys

My forty-three year career in the financial services industry included over thirty years experience as a mid-level working manager for many top U.S. companies. I have managed real estate mortgage and consumer loan production offices, regulatory compliance, and risk management groups for four major southeast banks. My management philosophy was dedicated to coaching for improved performance, assisting employees in realizing their ability to be successful and achieving their personal goals. Using my business experience, I have written and published four business genre books on; how to be the best job candidate while you are looking for a job, how to become a successful employee once you are hired, and what to consider before you accept a manager's position. My most recent book , Be A Stand Out Employee, is dedicated to encouraging young people just entering the workforce to become an outstanding employee. The products page on this site provides more detail information about these books.
In addition to writing and career counseling, I have facilitated a Job Search & Career Transition Workshop since 2009 with many success stories. This workshop helps to create a competitive advantage over other job candidates. This is an interactive workshop involving: understanding the keys to success-knowledge and wisdom, a self-assessment and evaluation of personal skills, knowledge, and expertise and life experiences. The workshop includes how to develop a good resume, create a helpful personal network and how to prepare for a successful interview. My book, Creating A Competitive Advantage, is the textbook for this workshop. If you are interested in sponsoring a workshop, my contact information is located below
For four years, pre COVID, I served as a volunteer teacher for two career development programs. The "12 for Life"® program is a partnership between the Florence High School and the Southwire Company, and the "Launch" ® program is an intern program sponsored by the Florence High School and local businesses. These programs provide classroom instruction to develop work/ life skills, on-the-job training, mentoring, and employment opportunities for high school students.
